June to August is peak season — warm, green steppes and the famous Naadam Festival in July. May and September offer quieter roads and lower prices. Winter (November–March) is extreme but magical for eagle hunter experiences in western Mongolia.

Mongolia is one of the safest destinations in Asia for travellers. Violent crime is rare, nomadic communities are famously hospitable, and the main risks are weather-related — making a knowledgeable local guide essential for remote expeditions.

Naadam (Эрийн гурван наадам) is Mongolia's greatest national celebration, held every July 11–13 in Ulaanbaatar. It features the "Three Games of Men" — wrestling, horse racing, and archery — dating back to the age of Genghis Khan. Zuut Travel arranges VIP access and regional festival experiences.

A minimum of 10–14 days is recommended to experience both Ulaanbaatar and the countryside. To visit the Gobi Desert, Khövsgöl Lake, and the Altai Mountains meaningfully, allow 3–4 weeks. We craft itineraries from 7-day highlights to 30-day grand expeditions.

A ger (yurt) is the traditional circular felt dwelling of Mongolian nomads. Our luxury ger camps feature handcrafted interiors, en-suite facilities, and solar power — combining authentic nomadic culture with the comfort expected of a high-end expedition.

Citizens of over 60 countries including the USA, UK, EU, Japan, and South Korea can visit Mongolia visa-free for 30 days. Other nationalities can apply for an e-visa online. We provide full pre-travel support including visa guidance, insurance advice, and health briefings.
